Big Cat Agency announces new Managing Director to lead the pride.

Big Cat Marketing Communications Agency has announced the promotion of Hannah Davies as the agency’s new managing director while the agency’s founder, Anthony Tattum will move into chairman role.

Davies, who has been with the agency for almost 3 years joining as head of marketing, made the move to Big Cat from M&C Saatchi in Sydney. Within a year and a half she was promoted to associate director, a management role within the agency’s senior team supporting Tattum in the running of the business. Davies soon proved her ability to drive the agency forward providing opportunity for Tattum to release the reins in a bold shake up for the agency, which Tattum founded 18 years ago.

As the agency’s new Chairman, Tattum will support the management team with achieving Big Cat’s exciting vision by continuing to build relationships with key businesses in the agency’s core sectors – hospitality, retail, charity and leisure & destination. Davies is tasked with leading Big Cat into its next phase of growth, leading the charge on business development and integrated strategy.

Tattum said, “We have an ambitious vision for the agency to become a UK top five independent marketing communications agency. Hannah has made a transformative impact on the business since joining Big Cat and has been instrumental in delivering business growth. Her move to managing director is an obvious and natural progression enabling me to focus on establishing stronger partnerships which will allow the agency to expand to where we want to be. With Hannah as MD, we will see an expansion of her strategic insight and client management across the running of the business which I am confident will build the agency even further.”

Davies added, “Big Cat is on an impressive growth path which will see us build on the insight-led creative campaigns delivered for our clients in recent years. My move to MD is an exciting one, bringing new challenges and more opportunities for making a difference. There’s nothing greater than being part of an agency that delivers meaningful change for society through the campaigns we create. The future is more than optimistic for Big Cat, and I’m delighted to be leading the agency into this ambitious period.”

The change comes after Big Cat celebrated its most successful year with a 25% sales growth in 2017. This success is being attributed to the agency’s refined brand ethos, Creative Clarity, which makes a serious commitment to clients to solve problems through the distillation of information that leads to single-minded marcomms campaigns that work.

Davies concluded, “Our ethos sees us delivering creative and meaningful campaigns. With the ability to offer full service marketing and communications that are built on audience and marketplace insight and closely linked with business and sales strategy, we’re able to approach our client challenges on a broader dimension. We’re seeing more brands come to us because of this approach; it differentiates Big Cat by allowing us to drive far greater business impact, both in the short and long term.”
