Grand Central Social

Wednesday 22nd April, 2015

Last week, Christie and Aree, two of Big Cat’s PR girls, spent their Thursday evening doing what they do best – socialising!

Grand Central Social

Grand Central hosted a ‘Meet + Greet’ event inviting all of the latest retailers and restauranteurs to sign up to the shopping destination, along with their very own social bloggers and senior management, to get together, introduce themselves and network, with a purpose to build a real sense of community, buzz and excitement around Grand Central Birmingham as we move towards the launch.

To add extra dynamic to the meet up, attendees were given a behind the scenes tour of the Hippodrome and the Shrek musical set. Grand Central’s Marketing Manager Danny Herbert, and Communications and Engagement Manager, Ashley Innis shared their plans for the coming months, telling the story of how Grand Central Birmingham development has evolved into becoming one of the most exciting retail spaces in the UK.

There was a surprise appearance from the cast of the Birmingham Royal Ballet, who delivered a Q+A session about what Birmingham means to them, the benefits of living and working in the city and their excitement for the new shopping centre which will sit above the redeveloped New Street Station.

All in all it was a fantastic event – we feel proud to be working on such an exciting development in the city. The champagne, canapés and goody bags were a bonus too!

Grand Central made an appearance on our television screens on ITV News, this Wednesday (23rd April), watch the clip here:
