HOLI ONE, GlobalGathering & Mostly Jazz… the Cats have been busy!

Monday 12th August, 2013

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for our Events team. They have been travelling up and down the country providing their services at some of the biggest and most colourful events this summer!

First stop was the Mostly Jazz Festival! Having worked on the Mostly Jazz, Funk and Soul Festival for several years (check out the case study here) this is a particularly special event for the Big Cat Team. A sell-out crowd with a thirst for Pimm’s kept our guys busy for the weekend! The event was a great success and enjoyed by all, for a full report on what we got up to view our blog on the event here.

Second stop for the Cats was the GlobalGathering Festival. A nationally renowned event, GlobalGathering attracts over 50,000 people per year and it was our job to make sure the health and safety management was in place to keep everyone out of harm’s way. Our CEO and events guru Nick Morgan was on site from day one and spent over 4 weeks preparing for the event. Even though the sun disappeared and was replaced by rain everyone still had a great time! You can see our behind the scene pictures of Global here!

Thirdly Big Cat were lucky enough to be commissioned to orchestrate the UK’s first ever HOLI ONE Festival in London! The HOLI ONE Festival is based around a traditional Hindu celebration for the welcoming of spring and combines coloured powder with music to create a unique (and very colourful) event. By covering the full event production and event management the team helped to deliver an extremely successful event with over 10,000 people going to the first event at Battersea Power Station. Don’t worry if you missed out, the event is coming to a variety of other locations over the next couple of months! Our case study can be seen here.

As you can see it’s been a busy couple of weeks for the events team but August looks set to be just as busy with Moseley Folk Festival as well as the Manchester HOLI ONE! Keep up today with our events team’s travels here.
