The Big Cat Marketing Team’s 2015 Highlights

Tuesday 15th December, 2015

As the New Year draws closer, the marketing team have been reflecting on the fantastic 2015 they’ve had here at Big Cat-it’s been a year of amazing new clients, wonderful new team members, exciting launches, and many, many personal achievements. To mark the end of a great year, the team have put together a round-up of their 2015 highlights…

Hannah – Marketing Director

After spending the last five years in Sydney experiencing the Aussie take on agency life, it’s lovely to be home to immerse myself in the best of British once again. And Big Cat has been integral in helping me settle back in, providing exciting new challenges, new thinking and new friends. Four pitches, seven integrated proposals, four creative strategies and one media strategy later, it’s been a busy two and a half months – but the diversity of clients and a fab team who deliver week on week keep things interesting and fun-filled. So whilst the chilly weather’s been tough to deal with, there’s been a warm welcome at Big Cat, and I can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store!

Kelly – Marketing Account Manager

A personal highlight for me this year was to be involved in my first Big Cat pitch to The National Forest. It was great to be involved in the process from the start, undertaking research for this exciting company and seeing our work come to light during our pitch practices, leading to conquering my nerves during the pitch itself, and then having to experience the dreaded wait whilst the results were affirmed! I am proud to say that after a lot of continuous hard work rehearsing the presentation (which, I must say, resulted in a very smooth and polished pitch!) our passion and effort for the cause clearly shone through, as we were told we had won the marketing and design contract and would be working on some brilliant campaigns with them. A fantastic first pitch with a fantastic victory – go Big Cat!

Keshia – Marketing Account Executive

I started the year on a great note…joining Big Cat’s marketing team as an intern in January! I had a really fantastic 3 months learning the ropes, and was thrilled to have been taken on as Marketing Account Executive back in May!

Since then, I have been involved in some really fantastic projects, including the launch of Tapas Revolution and Karaoke Box – two concepts completely new to the city, which have seen great success since opening up.  I’m really looking forward to the year ahead – there’s some exciting campaigns in the pipeline for Big Cat, so stay tuned!

Greta – Marketing Executive

In April 2015 I started my internship with the Marketing team at the vibrant Birmingham Big Cat office. I wasn’t there to just make tea; everyone there took time to teach me about their areas of expertise from SEO to Email Marketing and everything in between.  Fortunately after my internship finished, I was offered the Marketing Executive position!

During this time, I am proud to say that I have been working on the Grand Central account from the highly-anticipated launch event, right through to the implementation of social media activity for Christmas. I am thrilled to have worked on such an exciting and iconic  addition to the Birmingham retail  scene and can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store.

Nicolette – Marketing Intern

I’m thrilled to have been taken on as Big Cat’s new marketing intern – i’m only 2 weeks in, and I’ve already had the opportunity to get involved in some really exciting work! I’m looking forward to seeing what 2016 holds for me here at Big Cat…

Well that’s nearly enough from us – it’s been a really amazing year for us Big Cat marketeers, and we’re excited to see what the year ahead will bring!
