Big Cat were briefed to raise the profile of the Association of College’s Annual Conference and Exhibition through an overarching design concept, which needed to align with the event and resonate with the target audience of further education professionals.
The Association of Colleges (AoC) is a not-for-profit membership organisation set up in 1996 by colleges to act as their collective voice. AoC Create is the commercial subsidiary of the AoC and provides services aimed at colleges in the further education sector. Bringing together the further education sector to learn, develop, influence, support and exchange information, the AoC Annual Conference and Exhibition is the highlight of AoC’s event calendar.
The conference is well attended but it has been harder to retain the college market due to tightening budgets across the sector.
To counter this, the conferences profile needed to be raised, to showcase it as the premier, must-attend event in the FE calendar
A compelling and strong design plus marketing concept was required. This needed to resonate with the conference’s delegates and potential exhibitors and sponsors, helping to deliver targets for delegate numbers and commercial income
Output needed to include an overarching design concept for the Annual Conference. This needed to be a distinctive creative identity, which will apply to all the conference marketing assets. A new website was also required for the conference, utilising the new design language and providing an effective user experience, which will highlight key information and allow users to book their place

A separate celebration FiEsta sub-brand and collateral were developed, remaining consistent with the overall conference visual language
Designed and developed a fully responsive, user friendly WordPress website. Pre-event and during, the website provided news / information, updates on sessions, exposure for commercial sponsors, speakers and delegate registration plus booking capability. Post-event, AoC were able to edit the website to include an overview and videos of the event
Successful conference, with the Show Guide being well received
Due to the strength of the branding, this will be retained for the 2017 AoC Annual Conference and Exhibition
