Clatterbridge Private Clinic

The clinic selected Big Cat as an agency partner to create a new brand identity, build brand awareness, engage staff and consultants and increase referral numbers to the clinic.

Client

Clatterbridge Private Clinic is a day case Oncology centre based in the Wirral. The clinic is situated on the campus of The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust and works in partnership with the Trust. Treating adults with physical cancers, Clatterbridge Private Clinic is the only facility in the UK to offer proton beam therapy for Ocular Melanoma (eye cancer).

Objective

To provide ongoing design and marketing services for the clinic, with outputs to be delivered from 2014 to present. The key objectives of the initial brief were:

  • Conduct industry and competitor research to inform all outputs
  • Produce brand identity, imagery and printed materials to an agreed look and feel which is representative of the clinic’s proposition and the values of the organisation
  • Produce a new website which effectively communicates the services the clinic provides, including data capture capabilities and easy facilitation of updates by members of staff at the clinic
  • Produce wayfaring signs and billboards to ensure patients can easily locate the clinic
  • To deliver on ad-hoc design and marketing requests

Delivery

To achieve the key components of the brief, the marketing strategy was developed, refined and turned into a practical plan. A designated account manager was responsible for liaising with the client, suppliers and other Big Cat colleagues to ensure efficient and effective delivery of all projects.

Outcomes included:

  • New brand identity, including logo and name development (from ‘The Clatterbridge Clinic’ to ‘Clatterbridge Private Clinic’)
  • Design and print of promotional materials
  • Design and build of a new website

 

Ongoing ad-hoc requests also include:

  • Stationery – branded compliment slips, appointment cards, business cards, drinks menu
  • Posters, leaflets and animated PowerPoint presentations to be placed in the clinic and the Trust to encourage staff and patient engagement with the clinic
  • Creation of a comprehensive GP database
  • Mail merges to GPs, Consultants and Gynaecologists practicing in areas with high levels of private patient medical insurance
  • Design of clinic eDMs to be sent to various industry databases
  • Digital proposals for Clatterbridge Private Clinic and its Proton Therapy Service
  • The production of an Annual Review

  • Enhanced brand, Trust and consultant engagement
  • Increase in patient volumes as a direct result from marketing activity
