Here at Big Cat, we've pounced into 2019 with an expansion of our hospitality portfolio following two major client wins.
Big Cat has just been hired by one of the UK’s biggest restaurant and pub groups, Mitchells & Butlers, whose brands include O’Neill’s, Nicholson’s and All Bar One. We will be leading on the social media content strategy and monthly execution for the group’s 149 Ember Inns Pubs.
Our agency has also been appointed by Raphael Hospitality in association with a recognised chef, to deliver an entirely new brand concept including name generation, brand and launch campaign for their new dining offering located in the heart of vibrant Leicester.
Our Managing Director Anthony Tattum said, “Hospitality is our bread and butter. We have been working with clients in this sector for 18 years and are accomplished in the industry but it’s the diversity of the sector which keeps it so exciting. Being appointed by an independent brand like Raphael Hospitality, right at the beginning of their journey to help shape their fresh new concept is incredibly exciting.
“Similarly, Mitchells & Butlers had a really successful year last year recently celebrating a 9.8% like-for-like sales increase over the festive period. It’s therefore a great time to be working together to build further on this success, delivering on hero campaigns for national brand, Ember Inns to increase engagement and enhance customer relationships.”
Fiona Richardson, Head of Brand Marketing at Mitchells & Butlers said, “Big Cat is a big fish when it comes to marketing and communications in the hospitality industry. Having been responsible for a number of bar and restaurant launches over the years, we knew that Big Cat would be the right choice to lead Ember Inns’ social media strategy. We’re really looking forward to working with Anthony and the rest of the team, it’s a great start to the New Year.”
The new appointments follow a run of success for Big Cat after the company won the prestigious Partnership of the Year Award for 2018 in the Birmingham Post’s Business Awards in December. The award recognised the trailblazing partnership between Big Cat and the University of Birmingham for their work exploring how audiences respond to advertising. The partnership uses state-of-the-art technology, biometrics and eye-tracking software, to underpin active advertising campaigns.
