This week, meet our Junior Designer, Gaz Burns
I love working in a creative agency because… I will never ever get bored because no day is the same. You never know what will get thrown at you or what brief will land on your desk so it definitely keeps you on your toes.
I find most of my inspiration from… Mainly Instagram because it literally has everything but also It’s Nice That and Design Week catch my attention every morning.
My most memorable work moment has to be… Probably one of my first few days as an intern here and I was thrown straight into a live project and basically give the lead of it. It definitely kick started my career here at Big Cat so I am very glad I agreed to tackle it.
The biggest thing I’ve learnt so far is… Never get comfortable and always keep learning new things. The industry is constantly evolving therefore you don’t want to be left behind.
The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is… the most recent advice I’ve took is a bit from Phil Knight’s Autobiography, Shoe Dog. “Fail and fail fast. But my hope was that when I failed, if I failed, I’d fail quickly, so I’d have enough time, enough years, to implement all the hard-won lessons.”
If I wasn’t a Big Cat I’d be… Professional footballer, obviously.
After work you’ll find me… spraying passes left right and centre on the pitch like Xabi Alonso in his prime…but that’s most likely in my dreams.
