Bringing 150 cocktails to Birmingham

Challenge

The cocktail institution – Be At One – began in 1998 by three bartenders; Steve Locke, Rhys Oldfield and Leigh Miller. After opening a further 30 bars, the boys decided that Birmingham was a perfect city to showcase the 150 cocktails that they offer. Big Cat was tasked to launch the Birmingham bar by building brand awareness and creating noise around the city.

Turning instinct into action

We managed the VIP guest list through a series of eDMs targeting a wide range of stakeholders working in Birmingham. We also created anticipation in the city by organising a cocktail masterclass amongst influencers, and acted as press office prior to and following the launch night.

We managed a guest list of nearly 500 people for the launch night and secured blanket regional consumer coverage. Be At One described the launch as the best one they've done so far!

“While looking for a PR company in Birmingham we came across Big Cat who had great links to the local press in the city. Big Cat really proved this throughout our launch campaign attributable to the amount of coverage we received. We built up a great working relationship with them over the two month campaign. With the support of Big Cat, Be At One Birmingham has been one of the most successful openings to date.”
