The Pet Show 2016 enlisted Big Cat to secure press coverage ahead of their return to Stoneleigh Park for their fourth year.

Client

The Pet Show is the nation’s largest show dedicated to the very best of Britain’s pet industry. With hundreds of attractions, it is a fun day out for all of the family.

Objective

  • To raise awareness of the live show and drive ticket sales before it opens
  • To promote the show as a great interactive family day out for visitors with access to a plethora of animal/ pet knowledge

Delivery

  • Acting press office contact from February to July prior to the two- day event with aims to securing online, print and broadcast media coverage
  • Created an ongoing news engine
  • Leveraged case studies to provide media spikes in the lead up the event
  • Targeted competitions across a variety of media platforms to increase consumer engagement with the show
  • Invited a range of influential mommy and daddy bloggers to attend the show. Provided complementary tickets in exchange for live social commentary and blogger reviews leveraging the audiences of the bloggers and building advocates for the show

  • 34 pieces of coverage, which includes 6 broadcast slots with local media such as BBC Radio Coventry and Warwickshire, Heart FM and Capital FM West Midlands, 1 piece of national online coverage in The Times and 9 competitions with regional publications
  • Resulting in an advertising value of £70,521.60 and an ROI of 7.8
