Big Cat were extremely proud to be appointed by the brand that bought us The Botanist, New World Trading Co to launch their second Birmingham site, The Canal House.
The Canal House delivers two floors of rich history and heritage in homage to the late James Brindley – a pioneer of the Birmingham Canal system. Capturing the concept of old meets new, the all-new venue promises an element of tradition and mystery, as they aim to redefine the legacy of an 18th century icon, in 21st century fashion.
In the lead up to launch we handled the ongoing press office as well as organising a number of pre-launch activities to drive awareness and build excitement among the target audience.
Last Tuesday saw the cities media and bloggers arrive to the canal side venue by narrow boat, for a press launch event which got the hashtag #TheSecretsOut trending on Twitter as over 100 guests were treated to an exciting night of delicious food and revolutionary drinks.
Following this, Thursday night welcomed Birmingham’s movers and shakers to a VIP launch event to celebrate the official opening. We secured 1,200 names on the guest list and packed out the venue with over 700 people on the night. With signature drinks flowing, canapes and live music, the atmosphere was buzzing as everyone enjoyed the newest watering hole which we are certain is going to be a big hit in the city.
